The Road So Far
I have just now returned from CCM Ministries’ most recent African missions trip to Liberia. It was a short but fruitful journey of five days to this West-African nation, which had been traumatized by 14 years of civil war, during which time more than 400,000 souls were killed. Imagine from a nation of only 3.5 million, one out of seven men, women or children perish by the hands of their own countrymen.
CCM Ministries has financed the building of several wells and the reconstruction of a few others in the Muslim-dominated communities of Southern Monrovia. We teamed up with a local ministry from San Antonio called Liberia-Now, and also travelled along-side the world-renowned evangelist, Sammy Tippit, to oversee the work, conduct pastoral conferences and preach in open crusades.
Praise the Lord! We saw the wells which had been built provide pure drinking water. Through the miracle of plumbing (something scarcely seen in Liberia) the local health clinic and church now has running water and functional washrooms for the very first time.
We saw Muslim villages being blessed with the generosity of Christian ministry, we participated in training and teaching hundreds of local pastors, and we shared the gospel with over 2,000 people. Out of those 2,000 we saw 149 souls come to know Christ, many of whom were previously devout Liberian muslims. Through this missions trip, we fulfilled a small but important part of our call to preach the gospel to the entire muslim world!
The Road To Come
I am preparing to leave for the next Iranian pastors leadership conference in the Middle East. I will also be involved in a crusade among Afghan refugees in the Turkish-Iraqi border city of Van. We hope to see dozens of people touched by the gospel in this trip.
As the end of this year draws near, we are looking towards the future that God has for our ministry. We are preparing for our first crusade in Dubai, which will be in February. We are organizing and sponsoring a major conference for church leaders from Iran in March. CCM Ministries is also providing the teachers and facilities for this meeting. It will be the largest conference we have ever conducted, a big step of faith for us indeed. Please keep this conference in your fervent prayers, that the location, teachers, cost and provisions will be covered.
We are also planing an outreach for the Republic of Congo sometime during May. We will be ministering to the war-torn refugee camps in the city of Coite’Niger. Lord willing, by the end of 2010 our eyes will turn towards Southern Somalia to reach African muslims of that region.
Many changes are happening concerning our work inside Iran. We are implementing a New Strategy for church planting. It will boost the rate of growth of our churches, protect our leaders from the relentless persecution they face and continue to develop better teaching material and programs across the board. As always, our work inside Iran is only limited by the funding we receive. As our needs are met and even surpassed, we will truly be able to reach more Muslim hearts for God’s kingdom.
Recent events in Iran have forced the intensity of our outreach activities to decrease momentarily to allow the fanatic persecution to recede. We plan to employ the New Strategy by December, and God will use it to save millions of Muslims throughout the Middle East! I will certainly keep you posted as we strive to meet our goal: 10,000 active members in the Iranian church network by September 11, 2011.
The Road To Gog & Magog
Finally, I am very proud of the hard work from our local production staff in Houston, TX. They have just finished the second episode of our English series entitled, The Road To Gog & Magog. For those of you who have already seen the first episode, you’ll be happy to hear that this one utilizes our new green screen even more. I am very excited about the content and production quality of this episode! For those who have not seen the first episode, both episodes are included on a single DVD. CLICK HERE to order now!
We at CCM Ministries have a unique vision when it comes to teaching via media. Our goal is to provide advanced biblical teaching utilizing the latest video graphics technology in such a way that the teaching program becomes both educational and entertaining. Our desire is to have an audience of both believers and non-believers watching each programs for its outstanding special effects and captivating content. Our hope is that believers can learn the word while being deeply entertained and nonbelievers may come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
We will work on Episode III for the rest of the year and have it out by January 2010. Episodes IV and V which will finish out the project, and it will end in a computer graphics animation that will blow you away! The animation will depict the battle of Gog and Magog itself and the lead in to our next advanced series called, The Coming Mahdi.
Thank you so much for your loyal support over these last few years. Jennifer and I certainly can not tell you how much we appreciate everything you have done for us. CCM Ministries supports many projects around the globe through your generosity, and we intend to expand that vision every year. Four years ago we were only involved in Iran, and today our ministry is directly involved in Iran, Turkey, India, Indonesia, Dubai, Peru, Sudan, Kenya, and Liberia. Through your support and prayers, that list continues to grow!
Thank you once again.
Your Friends in Christ,
Mani & Jennifer Erfan
